Many families of healthy newborns wish to supplement with human milk instead of formula, providing babies with health benefits and parents with peace of mind. Milk Connections can provide up to 39 ounces of milk without a prescription. Families of healthy infants will need to pay out of pocket for this service since health insurance does not cover milk for healthy infants. Processing fees for the milk are $13.95 per 3-ounce bottle. This fee covers costs of screening milk donors, pasteurizing pooled milk, and testing the milk to verify its safety for your baby. Learn more about how milk is made safe here.
