We are Tara Burt, BA, IBCLC (she/her) and Michelle Fassell, MA, IBCLC, CEIM (she/her) and we are co-owners of Milk Connections Lactation Consulting. We are so excited to meet you and your family! Our passion is helping you meet your breastfeeding and chestfeeding goals and being a part of your new-parent journey. The connection that you are building with your child is such a joy for us to see. Nursing a baby (or several) can come with many bumps along the way. We want to help you overcome these challenges with careful assessment and encouragement!

This consultation is a first step for expecting parents. Our thorough assessment and education will give you the confidence to reach your breastfeeding and chestfeeding goals.
Lactation Support
Our supportive lactation visits will help you resolve your breastfeeding or chestfeeding concerns and will give you tools to overcome challenges you face.
Parents & Babies support group
Join us at our informal small group sessions to weigh your baby, chat with other new parents and learn more about how we can help you reach your breastfeeding and chestfeeding goals. These sessions are open to existing clients and those interested in lactation support
Prenatal/Postpartum classes
We offer prenatal classes perfect for expecting families who need ongoing support on the basics of breastfeeding and chestfeeding. Our postpartum support classes provide you with lactation education and a community of parents to encourage you throughout your journey.We believe postpartum support is essential
The joy and rush of emotions after the birth of your baby may be dampened by hormone changes, pain, concerns about milk supply, sleepless nights, exhaustion, and lack of support. If this sounds like you, know that you are not alone! We can help you overcome these barriers to breastfeeding and chestfeeding and help you gain confidence as a new mother and parent.
We offer prenatal and lactation consultation visits in home, in our office, and virtually. We also hold an infant massage class series and a parenting workshop. These meetings are welcoming spaces where you can meet new parents, weigh your baby, talk about what is working or not working for you right now, and learn specific ways to overcome adversity.

- First check the Lactation Network (TLN) to see if your consultation is covered by insurance.
- Next choose your preferred visit location – your home, our office, or virtually. If your insurance has been approved by TLN, choose this option. Otherwise, you will select the self-pay option.
- You can also reserve a space in our Lactation meet up and groups
- We will be in touch with you to confirm your appointment(s).
